FINANCIAL FITNESS FOR LIFE CONTINUES GROWTH WITH ADDITION OF INDUSTRY VETERAN AS EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Paula Guerin will lead employee and employer education strategies
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (December 21, 2018) – Bold growth strategies continue to position Financial Fitness for Life as a pioneer in in-depth education of both employees and employers wanting a better financial education structure as part of their sponsored benefit plan. Financial Fitness for Life has added another industry veteran to its ranks with the hiring of Paula Guerin as Director of Education Services.
Paula spent the past seven years with MassMutual as one of the firm’s preeminent Retirement Education Specialists, and has built a reputation as an industry leader among Education Specialists. The company’s leadership is confident her professional experience will provide an immediate impact on shaping participant education for Financial Fitness for Life.
“Retirement education is paramount to the needs of our clients – both from the employer’s perspective, as well as their employees, and Paula is a premier education specialist in our industry,” said Glenn Spencer, CEO of Financial Fitness for Life and Prime Capital Investment Advisors (PCIA). “We are so pleased to have her join our growing team to meet a growing need among our customers. She is a game changer in a game-changing space for us and our clients.”
Financial Fitness for Life has taken steps to invigorate the culture of its clients and those of PCIA and its subsidiaries, giving clients more empowerment, encouragement, and knowledge via the power of financial education. Paula believes financial education has a direct impact on a company’s success and the productivity of its employees.
“Our goal is to better understand the financial outlook of our clients’ employees so they can make smarter personal decisions for their future, and minimize financial stress, which can hamstring a company’s culture and output,” Paula said. “A healthier employee landscape begins with financial education because costs are associated with every decision they make. A client base that is financially educated creates a less stressed workforce. We just want to help companies and their employees make smarter decisions. If that happens, everyone wins.”
Paula’s announcement is on the heels of two recent additions to Financial Fitness for Life’s executive leadership team – Robert J. Cruz, as executive vice president and managing director and Christian Mango, executive vice president.
“It is exciting to be a part of this impressive growth,” Paula said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many of the PCIA team members, and I have always been so impressed with what is being built here. We’re building impactful strategies for our clients and creating a life-changing service for their employees. Step by step, we are eliminating financial stress in the workplace.”
Paula earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Massachusetts-Lowell and furthered her industry knowledge by obtaining Series 6 & 63 licenses in addition to Life and Health Insurance licenses. She grew up a New England native, and has lived in the Kansas City area since 1997. She will join PCIA’s and Financial Fitness for Life’s Overland Park, Kan. office.
