Welcome to Longer Financial, an affiliate of Prime Capital Investment Advisors (“PCIA”).
Longer Financial’s history began in 1985 when its founder Elaine Longer, CFA, established Longer Investments, Inc. in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Today Elaine and the team at Longer Financial continue to provide investment management to clients primarily in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

By recognizing our clients as partners in the process and providing them with access to their investment team, we ensure that goals are identified, concerns addressed, and results communicated accurately. Through long-term personal relationships, we facilitate solutions for our clients’ investment needs.

We hope to do that when we have the opportunity to talk with you in person.

History of Our Company
Longer Investments was founded by Elaine M. Longer in 1985 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Before she established her own asset management firm, Longer was assistant vice president and investment officer for First National Bank of Fayetteville. In that position, she was responsible for trust accounts and the bank’s fixed-income portfolio.
After signing her first client, a local bank owned by its founding family since 1871, Longer rented office space on Center Street, just off the historic square in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Without the confidence, support and friendship of those who were willing to take a risk with a small, fledgling company, Longer Investments would not be where it is today.
In early 1987, Kim Cooper joined the company, and the first part-time student intern was hired through the University of Arkansas. Longer Investments grew to seven employees who served clients’ investment needs. Our team of investment professionals now includes two Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), an accountant, a client services manager, an executive administrator, a research analyst, and sufficient clerical staff to effect the smooth administration of business.
Longer Investments remained at the Center Street location for sixteen years. In June of 2001, Longer purchased the building at 9 N. West Avenue in Fayetteville, and the offices were relocated at that time.
In 2019, Prime Capital Investment Advisors of Overland Park, Kansas, purchased the assets of Longer Investments. The new company now operates as Longer Financial, an affiliate of Prime Capital Investment Advisors. Eric Krause, CFA, joined the staff as managing director and portfolio manager.
Longer Financial has built its growth and reputation on a foundation of trust, service and results. We currently manage approximately $130 million in assets for clients throughout the United States.
