History of Advisor Leadership + Unrivaled Client Service
Prime Capital Investment Advisors was founded in 1985 as an insurance business. PCIA Chairman Scott Colangelo and Vice-Chairman Tim Hakes have worked together as advisors for more than 30 years. In 1997, the company entered into the Wealth Management business and added Retirement Plan Consulting in 2004. In 2017, Scott and Tim bought the business from the original founder and divested the insurance business.
They hired PCIA’s current CEO Glenn Spencer to lead the strategic direction of the firm. Since then, the company has grown rapidly by organic growth, hiring top-tier advisors and teams, adding affiliates, acquisitions and launching new businesses. Their vision has always been to build an advisor-led business laser-focused on delivering unrivaled care for every investor.
